Meanwhile at home, costs rose on every front. College for kids, supplementing cost of living spikes for adult children or moving back home altogether, and elder care for aging parents. Saving for retirement pushed further and further away while career stability teeters. I dug into the data behind the employment headlines and found what many are living: a squeeze from all sides.
